ABOUT DR. WOOD

CONTACTING DR. WOOD


Jonathan Wood has extensive technical expertise in the areas of analog electronics, electronic power supplies and power converters, feedback control systems, and electromechanical systems.

He also has extensive experience in the development of flywheel energy storage systems.

He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering, and in 1973 he gained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At M.I.T. his area of major study was Control Systems and Electronic Power Conversion. His thesis at M.I.T. represented pioneering work in the field of power electronics and related feedback system theory.

He has an extensive list of technical publications, including two papers on the phenomenon of chaotic behavior in electronic power converters.

He has given lectures on feedback systems and power electronics at Duke University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC).

He holds three U.S. Patents in the field of power electronics.

He has held a US Secret Clearance.
